一、寫(xiě)信動(dòng)機(jī)

　　通常求職信是針對(duì)報(bào)紙上招聘廣告而寫(xiě)的。若此，信中須提到何月何日的報(bào)紙，有時(shí)工作機(jī)會(huì)是從朋友或介紹所聽(tīng)來(lái)的，有時(shí)寫(xiě)信人不知某機(jī)構(gòu)、公司有工作機(jī)會(huì)，毛遂自薦。不論哪一種，求職信上一定要說(shuō)明寫(xiě)信的緣由和目的。

　　因此首先應(yīng)該表明你是在何家媒體看到應(yīng)聘廣告以及所要應(yīng)聘的職位。參考例句：

　　1.In reply to your advertisement in today's newspaper，I respectfully offer my services for the situation.拜讀今日XX報(bào)上貴公司的廣告，本人特此備函應(yīng)征該職位。

　　2.Replying to your advertisement into- day's issue of the(newspaper)，I wish to apply for the position in your esteemed firm.拜讀貴公司在今日(報(bào)紙)上廣告，特此備函應(yīng)征貴公司該職位。

　　3.With reference to your advertisement in(newspaper)of May 2for a clerk，I offer myself for the post.從五月二日XX報(bào)上廣告欄得知貴公司招聘一位職員，我愿應(yīng)招。

　　4.I wish to apply for the position advertised in the enclosed clipping from the(newspaper)of November 12.謹(jǐn)隨函附上十一月十二日XX報(bào)貴公司招聘廣告，我愿應(yīng)招此職位。

　　5.In answer to your advertisement into- day's newspaper for a secretary，I wish to tender my services.閣下在今日XX報(bào)上刊登招聘秘書(shū)廣告，本人獲悉，特此應(yīng)招。

　　6.Learning from XX that you are looking for a sales manager，I should like to apply for the position.從XX處得悉，貴公司正在招聘一名業(yè)務(wù)經(jīng)理，我愿應(yīng)招此職。

　　7.Your advertisement for a telephone operator in the newspaper of March 8has interested me，I feel I can fill that position.貴公司三月八日在XX報(bào)上刊登招聘電話接線員廣告，本人拜讀后極感興趣，相信能擔(dān)任此職。

　　求職的在提到希望得到的待遇時(shí)，可用類似的句子：

　　A：I hesitate to state a definite salary, but, as long as you have requested me to , I should consider 6,500 a month satisfactory. 我對(duì)待遇總是無(wú)法定下確切數(shù)目，但既然您要我說(shuō)明，我認(rèn)為月薪六千五百元就滿意了。

　　B： Although it is difficult for me to say what compensation I should deserve, I should considerxxxxxxa month a fair initial salary. 雖然我很難說(shuō)待遇應(yīng)該是多少，我認(rèn)為每月xxxxxx起薪合適。

　　提起或要求待遇時(shí)不要過(guò)分謙虛或表示歉意，下列句子不宜使用。

　　A：As for salary, I do not know what to say. Would$4,500 a month be too much? 至于起薪，我不知怎么說(shuō)，月薪四千五百元會(huì)不會(huì)太多?

　　B：Do you think I should be asking too much if I said 5000 dollars a month? 若要求月薪五千元，會(huì)不會(huì)太高?

　　C：You know what my services are worth better than I do . All I want is a living wage. 對(duì)我工作的價(jià)值您比我更清楚。我能夠糊口即可。
