我先照著爸爸以前刮魚鱗的樣子，先拿來刀，然后我把魚緊緊地抓住，認知魚撲棱一下從我手里滑了出去，“啪”地一聲，又落入盆里，濺了我一身的水。第二次，我用力抓住魚的尾巴，可它的頭還在甩來甩去，我把魚摁到菜板上，它還在亂動。我大聲喊媽媽：“媽，魚也不老實呀!”媽媽說：“你真笨，也不動動腦筋，你爸爸不是有酒嗎?”
First, I took the knife as my father used to scrape the scales. Then I held the fish tightly. I realized that the fish slipped out of my hand and fell into the basin again, splashing my whole body with water. The second time, I grabbed the tail of the fish, but its head was still swinging around. I pressed the fish on the kitchen board, and it was still moving. I shouted to my mother, "Mom, the fish is not honest!" my mother said, "you are so stupid, and you don't use your brain. Doesn't your father have wine?"
這一下倒提醒了我，對呀，爸爸不是常常喝醉酒，一動不動嗎?我拿來酒瓶，拿了個小勺，捏開魚嘴，一勺一勺地灌了四小勺，真靈!魚醉了，一動也不動。然后，我順利地完成了刮魚鱗的任務。
